Environmental deterioration, polluting of the environment & preservation are buzz words in the current business environment. Consumers are as well aware of the environmental issues just like; global warming plus the impact of environmental damage. Green marketing is a trend which has produced particular importance in the modern industry and provides emerged while an important concept in India as in other regions of the producing and created world, and is also seen as an essential strategy of facilitating sustainable development. A " Green” business activity can be defined as virtually any business activity that is performed in a way in order that it has both limited unfavorable ecological effects or that directly benefits the environment in some way A defieicency of environmental safeguard has brought the consumers, the industry plus the government to a common program where every single has to perform its own role. In present scenario government. regulations and consumers concern for the planet create possibilities for green marketing and forced business to take on green business strategy. Company entities globally in general and Indian business in particular are actually focusing on green marketing while strategy to beat competition, attract customers, turn into closer to general public and contemporary society. Corporate choices are taking up green initiatives as part of corporate interpersonal responsibility which is mandatory in India. Key players on the market have taken several initiatives to prove themselves as environmental friendly. The term green marketing is often employed loosely in addition to the wrong context. Green marketing is the promoting of products which can be considered to not be dangerous for environment. The terms like phosphate free, recyclable, refillable, ozone friendly and environmentally friendly are a few of the things buyers most often affiliate with green marketing. Although green marketing incorporates a broad range of activities such as the product modification, changes to the production method, packaging adjustments, as well as adjusting advertising which is often applied to client goods, professional goods and even services (Welling and Chavan 2010). According to American Marketing Association " Green Marketing may be the marketing of products that are assumed to be ecologically safe”. Therefore being a very broad principle green advertising incorporates all activities made to generate and facilitate virtually any exchanges intended to satisfy man needs and wants, so that the satisfaction of this sort of needs and wants happens with lowest detrimental influence on the normal resources.
